Future of Work: Changing Cities

Greg Rosalsky writes an interesting article for NPR which examines the future of work and its implications for cities. It looks at three different categories of work: “frontier work,” which involves new technology; “wealth work,” which refers to jobs that provide services to the wealthy; and “last mile work,” which is what’s left after machines have taken over many tasks. The article discusses how these three categories of work are likely to affect income inequality and social mobility, as well as how they will impact cities. Additionally, the article looks at how podcasters fit into this future of work.
